2 dead, 30 injured as bus plunges 20 feet from bridge

A government bus plying between Tirupur and Annur, toppled from a bridge near Avinashi on Sunday afternoon, killing two and leaving about 30 passengers injured. The injured were admitted to government hospitals in Coimbatore and are undergoing treatment. The driver's wrong judgment and the bus being overcrowded were cited as reasons for the mishap.
