India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is on the verge of breaking a massive record by Harbhajan Singh in the second and final Test against West Indies at Kingston Cricket Ground in Jamaica starting Friday. In the first Test match, India enjoyed a 318-run victory through Ajinkya Rahane and Hanuma Vihari’s stellar performances.

Ravindra Jadeja 6 wickets away from breaking Harbhajan\'s record

Jadeja needs 6 wickets to reach 200 wickets milestone in the longest format and if he picks up, he will become the second fastest Indian bowler to reach the mark surpassing Harbhajan Singh. The list has off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on top.

During the first Test match, arguments arose when Jadeja was preferred over Ashwin. But then, he shattered them all with his timely half-century which pushed India’s first innings total to 297.

“Obviously you feel good when the skipper believes in you, thinks of you as the main player. Luckily, I have been able to repay the faith by performing well. I was focusing on my game, I was not thinking about what is going on outside, what others think,” Jadeja was quoted as saying at the end of second day’s play by Hindustan Times.
