IPL 2018: CSK vs DD: CSK back on winning ways

Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Daredevils by 13 runs on Monday to get back on winning ways after their defeat against Mumbai Indians in their last game.

 

 

Batting first, CSK got off to a flying start as openers Shane Watson - 66 (33) & Faf Du Plessis - 33 (33) registered CSK’s highest opening partnership of 102 runs against DD in the IPL history. CSK captain MS Dhoni - 51* (22) scored his third half-century for the season as Ambati Rayudu scored 41 runs off 24 balls to propell CSK to 211/4.

 

 

Chasing the massive target, DD lost their wickets at regular intervals. Rishabh Pant and Vijay Shankar holded the DD innings together with his 79 runs off just 45 balls but failed to finish the chase. DD ended up scoring 198/5 from their 20 overs. Debutant Lungi Ngidi picked up 2 wickets for CSK.

 

With the victory, CSK got back to the top of the points table.
