WOMAN BEATEN UP FOR NOT BEARING MALE CHILD

30-year-old Rekha Devi from Uttar Pradesh was beaten up by her husband and in-laws for allegedly not bearing a male child. According to reports, the victim's hands were fractured and she was kept in captivity and was not allowed to talk to her parents.

After Rekha Devi gave birth to a third girl child, her in-laws began to abuse her. Allegedly, she was found by her parents and taken to a nearby hospital. A complaint has been filed against her husband and in-laws and an FIR has been lodged.
