12-YEAR-OLD DIES ON SPOT AFTER ATTACKED BY SEVEN DOGS

A 12-year-old girl was attacked on Sunday by a pack of seven dogs on her way to the fields in Maheshpur Chilwara village, Uttar Pradesh. Reportedly, Reena died on the spot after the pack of dogs attacked her.

Nearly 300 villagers blocked the traffic on a nearby highway for half an hour demanding the government to take steps against feral dogs.  Reportedly, 13 children have fallen prey to dog attacks in just the last six months. Reena's father even refused to perform her last rites without the government's assurance in taking steps to curb the dog attacks.
