Cricketer and Rajya Sabha member Sachin Tendulkar has sanctioned Rs 2 crore from Members of Parliament Area Local Development Scheme (MPLADS). Following the recent Elphinstone Road station stampede which left 23 people dead, Sachin Tendulkar wrote to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal saying he had requested the Mumbai suburban district collector to authorise Rs 2 crore for construction.
