Parents responsible for sexual abuse: BJP MLA

At a time when there is an increased attacks on women and children, a BJP MLA from Uttar Pradesh has courted controversy by saying that parents are responsible for sexual abuse. Surendra Singh is reported to have said, "Parents should not let their children roam around outside freely. Children above 15 years of age must be kept under their watch. It is their responsibility."
