FATHER KILLS 18-YEAR-OLD GIRL A DAY AFTER SHE TURNED 18

According to reports, a girl in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district was allegedly murdered by her father a day after she celebrated her 18th birthday. The undergraduate student of pharmacy, who turned 18 last Saturday, lived with her family in a village in Chandarlapadu mandal of the district.

The next day, the father spotted the girl Chandrika talking to someone over the phone and suspected that she was in a relationship with a boy. In a fit of anger, the man named Kottaiah allegedly hit on his daughter’s head with the wooden handle of an axe.

Chandrika collapsed and died. The man was arrested and a probe is on. Neighbours reportedly told that Kottaiah was worried that his family’s honour will be compromised by his daughter’s relationship.
