A disturbing video clip of a teenage boy begging for mercy while being tortured by police in a police compound station has been going viral on social media. Reports say, the incident took place last month in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district and the boy accused of theft was brought in for investigation. As the video caused outrage over social media, top officials in the district have reportedly said that they’ve suspended the senior cop seen in the video and have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
