FIGHTING OVER CHICKEN, COUPLE DRINKS POISON

Allegedly fighting over cooking meat for dinner, couple drank poison and committed suicide. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly.

The husband, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, fought with his wife asking to cook chicken for dinner. But the wife refused to cook meat owing to Navratras. But the husband barged into the kitchen and started cooking chicken, according to Mirror Now.

Followed by this, the couple started quarrelling and the wife consumed poison. Soon, the husband realised his fault and consumed poison himself.

According to TOI, the couple had 3 children including a daughter. The daughter of the deceased lives in the Sitapur district while the sons have jobs in other districts. As the wife's sentiments were deeply hurt, she consumed poison and committed suicide as her husband challenged her beliefs and asked her to cook chicken.
