Children up to 5 years exempted from passport biometrics

MoS for External Affairs Retd General VK Singh has announced that children up to the age of five years are exempted from giving their biometrics to the passport issuing authority. However,  VK Singh added that the children will have to be physically present at the Passport Seva Kendra for their photographs to be taken for the passport.
