GIRL TIED TO TREE AND BEATEN FOR HOURS AFTER ELOPING WITH MAN OF DIFFERENT CASTE

From a shocking video that went viral on social media, a young girl from Bihar could be seen tied to a tree and thrashed for allegedly eloping with a man of a different caste.

The incident took place in Nawada, Bihar on Friday. The girl was tied and thrashed for nearly five hours after she eloped with a man from a different caste on September 30. The punishment was passed by the village panchayat for dishonouring her caste.

The victim's father reportedly said, "Se was tied because she is a criminal. She wants to go with a man from a different caste." The police had to intervene and save the girl. The victim's statement has also been recorded.
