ASSAM: TWO DEAD AS TRAIN SMASHES INTO CAR

According to reports, a man and his son were killed after Rajdhani Express train smashed on their car on Sunday night in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. The man wife was grievously injured and was admitted to Assam Medical College in the district.

The man operating the gates closed one gate while leaving the other one open. The car was trapped inside the railway gate which was open when the accident took place. The deceased have been identified as Bimal Sharma (65) and his son Arnav Sharma (26).

A spokesperson of the Northeast Frontier Railway reportedly said a highest-level inquiry has been ordered under the Commissioner of Railway Safety, and a report is expected soon.
