''KAMAL SIR LOVED THE TRACK AND WAS REALLY ENTHUSIASTIC WHILE RECORDING''

Avam is an upcoming film directed by Vijay Vilvakrish with debutante Gaurav in the lead role. The film was recently in the limelight when Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan came on board to sing a track called Kaarirulae. The teaser of the same was released few days back and listeners have taken note of this impressive track which stands out. Gaurav talks to us about getting Kamal Haasan on board for this song and the overall experience.

 

"When our composer Sundaramurthy got us to listen to the first scratch of Kaarirulae, we were all spellbound and each of us were wondering who could really do justice to this unique song in Tamil which had deep rooted lyrics by Karky sir and soulful music. 

 

Our director Vijay Vilvakrish suddenly came up with this idea of trying to approach Kamal sir, we all loved the idea but weren't too sure if we could get him to sing for us. It was Sundaramurthy who got his father who's been associated with Raaj Kamal Films to talk to Kamal sir and convince him. 

 

Kamal sir loved the track and was really enthusiastic while recording as he had never done a song such as Kaarirulae before. Vijay Vilvakrish's dedication and support helped get our dream singer on board. It's one mind-blowing track" - signs off Gaurav.

 

Avam's music would be released by Sony Music South this month-end while the film is planned for a June-end release.
