''Ilayaraja's songs will not be a forced one''

May 08, 2014

Sometime back it was announced that veteran director Mahendran and maestro Ilayaraja are coming together for a film. Later buzz was that Prakash Raj, Simran and Prathap Pothen are brought on board with an additional information that Prakash Raj would be bankrolling this project.

Talking about this exclusively to behindwoods correspondent, son of director Mahendran and co-director of the film John Roshan tells, "We actually went to meet Prakash Raj to discuss about his character but he was much excited about the script that he immediately said he would produce the film. He was keen that this film should reach a wider audience and as a producer he would pull all stops to do this."

When asked about the premise of the film Roshan states that its about life in middle age.

"There are three songs in the film under Ilayaraja's music and they will not be a forced one just because of the legendary combination", Roshan adds.

"The entire shoot is going to happen in Mysore which is a favourite place of my dad. Location hunt will be on from next week and the title is yet to be fixed".

As announced earlier,Sanjay will be the man behind the camera and Kasi Viswanathan, the editor.

Roshan signs off saying that Prakash Raj is a mountain of positive energy to the film which is going to take it to a higher level for sure.

Do stay tuned for more updates.
