''The audience wouldn't boo Santhanam''

In the celebrations surrounding the success of Santhanam’s debut movie Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham, in which the comedian has turned a mass hero, the fact that Santhanam started his innings in a popular television channel by spoofing these very mass masala elements is overlooked.
 

When asked, director Srinath, in a recent interview, averred that Santhanam has come a long way to be a star now. He said, “He lost weight, sported a different look, and went for regular dance rehearsals. I was confident that people would accept him as a hero. After all, he has carried many films over the finish line as a comedian.”
 

“I knew that the audience wouldn’t boo Santhanam if he was introduced like a mainstream star,” finished Srinath.
 

Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham had Ashna Zaveri as the female lead, and music by Siddharth Vipin.
