The story behind the Rahman-Yuvan 'Mariyaan' association
Apr 28, 2013The news that Yuvan Shankar Raja has sung a number for Dhanush’s Mariyaan in Rahman’s music has made a big splash since the past few days. Mariyaan's director Bharat Bala said that it was in fact Rahman, who wanted an earthy voice for this rustic number and he felt that Yuvan would be an apt choice to render this song with the required emotions. Yuvan arrived at the studio as soon as he was informed and the song was completed as planned.
This single is expected to release on May 3 and the full album will be out in the middle of May. With Rahman and Yuvan associating on a song for the first time, the expectations have just hit the roof.
