Sivaji's favorite director, a big fan of Vijay Sethupathi
Aug 07, 2013Behindwoods had recently presented a glorious video tribute to the legendary director A.C.Trilogchander and Tamil cine buffs have been reminded of how great a director he was, in his heyday. Having worked with the foremost legends of Tamil cinema such as MGR and Sivaji, A.C.Trilogchander holds pride of place in the history of Tamil cinema.
Recently, he happened to watch Vijay Sethupathi's movies such as Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Pizza and expressed an interest in meeting the rising star. Behindwoods arranged a meeting of these two this morning and the venue was the legendary director's home, with Vijay readily agreeing to visit the legend. Following yummy breakfast, the two got into discussing about their cinema lives and many more interesting happenings.
Trilogchander is a big fan of the 'Ennachu' dialog from NKPK, in particular and he lauded Vijay for his dialog delivery, voice modulation and realistic performance in the movie. The director also spoke about his good old days when he used live sound and very rarely depended on dubbing.
Vijay shared with the director that some of the reviews for Pizza brought out a reference to the director's 1967 cult thriller Adhe Kangal. As the director wished him a great future, Vijay vowed to screen all his future movies such as Pannaiyarum Padminiyum specially for him.
