Archana
the noted actress who is famous for the
portrayal of ordinary people’s lives
in movies is starring in Parattai Ennum
Azhagusundaram as Dhanush’s mother.
She plays the role of a village woman
dressed in rags and shabby clothes in
the movie.
The
shoots of the same were held in Koyambedu
in the premises of Adiparasakthi temple
recently. The scenes involving Dhanush
and Archana were shot.
The crewmembers were booked in a five
star hotel in the vicinity and for
a change of costume for the subsequent
shoots, Archana tried to enter the
hotel. However, the security guards
denied her entry into the hotel. Mistaking
her for an old woman from a nearby
village, they questioned her and tried
to chase her out of the hotel stating
that the place is only for VIPs.
Fortunately,
a production assistant who was in the
locality came for her rescue and explained
the guards that the lady is Archana, following
which the guards apologized for their
behavior and let her in finally. Well,
there is no wonder that Archana received
the national award twice for her real-life-like
roles.
