They
do elevate the movie’s publicity,
but have you heard of them becoming the
selling point of movies. Yes we are talking
about the dominance of lip locks in Kollywood
movies. They have become inexorable inclusions
of Tamil movies. There are reported lip
lock scenes in the upcoming Kizhakku Kadarkarai
Salai and Honeymoon. We are sure many
movies in production will join the bandwagon
sooner or later.
If
that is not enough, we have news that
distributors - who intend to buy the
upcoming projects and the projects
that were in cans for a long time
- insist upon a smooch or two in the
movies. Much to the horror of the
lead ladies, the heroes most certainly
would not have any qualms in enacting
such steamy scenes.
The lip lock scene in Vallavan apparently
generated huge publicity to the movie,
but it did not seem to have helped
the movie to sustain at the box office
though.
The
length of the extensive smooch scene between
Simbu and Nayanthara was cut short eventually.
In the upcoming Honeymoon though, a lip
lock was shot in which the hero is said
to have pulled off the scene perfectly.
On the other hand, the debutant heroine
Gayatri ended up in tears. Poor girl.
