With both the Directors’ and Technicians
Association and the Nadigar Sangam joining hand
with the Tamil Film Producers’ Council under
the leadership of A M Rathnam, the battle between
the two factions in Tamil Film Producers’
Council is taking bigger dimensions. The two factions
at war are the one led by A M Rathnam and the
other by T G Thiagarajan. The new group has asked
the member not to give any interviews to television
channels. Thiagarajan was a Sun TV favourite,
and it is alleged that he was biased favourably
to the channel because his own serial was aired
on the channel. Vikram and Vijay, other Sun TV
favourites, however, support the Rathnam group
which calls the shots these days. Besides, no
hero can dare go against a powerful producer such
as Rathnam. |
