It is old news that after Gajini, Surya and
Asin are again sharing screen space in Vel.
With Asin captivating the audience with her
mesmerizing performance in Gajini, expectations
are rising to new levels about her role in
Vel. But then, she had a meaty role in the
movie. The stills from Vel, where we get to
see a bespectacled Asin, also talk volumes
on Asin's role.

This has triggered a curiosity as to what her character
would be in the movie. When probed, sources close to the
movie unit said that Asin's role in the movie is that
of a television show compere of a live phone-in program.
This should be interesting.
