From Bombay to Istanbul- the shootout will continue |

Director Apoorva Lakhia has just delivered
a decent break even (hit in some parts) movie;
Shootout at Lokhandwala and he has wasted
no time in getting on to his next project
and he seems to have no ideas of moving away
from the genre that he feels most comfortable
with, action.

His next project too will deal with action and going by
the title it is going to be of the same type that we saw
in Shootout at Lokhandwala. Cops versus gangsters. However
this time the scale might be a bigger one.
The title of the movie Mission Istanbul does suggest that
the army and terrorists might be the antagonists and protagonists
respectively. The title also suggests that at least part
of the movie will have to be shot in Afghanistan which
will be tough but not impossible as was proved by the
Kabul Express team in 2006. Most of the main cast of Shootout
at Lokhandwala has been reassembled for this movie too.
Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Vivek Oberoi and Tushar
Kapoor will be part of the movie. Apoorva Lakhia seems
to be fond of casting Abhishek and Vivek in the same movie;
that’s some easy publicity. The team producing the
movie too will be the same; Sunil Shetty and Ekta Kapoor.
