| Priyanka
Chopra’s barefoot prayers |

It is a popular adage that only
when we are in trouble we think
of God. In Bollywood actress Priyanka
Chopra's case, she went barefoot
to the Vaishno Devi temple to pray
for her ailing father, and also
because she wanted to thank God
for giving her a good life. A three-day
trip with her family to the temple
was certainly an uplifting experience
for this actress from Bollywood,
and she says, "I feel a load
off my shoulder now".

She
is now back in Malaysia for the shoot of
her film Don, and reasons she states for
her temple visit that she claims is long
overdue, is because her father goes into
surgery soon, and her film with Hrithik,
Krrish, is due for release as well. |

While
her parents flew the distance in a
chopper, Priyanka chose the traverse
the entire length of the hill and
is only happy about it. She shared
her special relationship with God,
stating in an interview that, "As
a daughter and as an individual I
have a certain relationship with god.
And I value that relationship above
everything else".
Don is the remake of the 1970's hit
by the same name, with Shah Rukh Khan
in the lead and Kareena and Priyanka
as well. |

| Having
already worked with Kareena in the film
Aitraaz, Priyanka is looking forward to
the film with her. As for being a part of
the IIFA, she says immediately that her
priorities are her films, and she doubts
if she will have the time for the festival
as they are shooting continuously till June
18 th. She is just grateful that she got
those three days at Vaishno Devi, given
her tight schedule. |
