Here is another actress from
another State joining the
Tamil film industry. The newest
entrant, Samvrutha, who is
a familiar face in Malayalam
films, got a good break with
Dileep in Rasigan, even while
she looks forward to Uyir
in Tamil, where she has acted
opposite Srikanth.
“Luckily,
director Samy got to see my
photographs in a Malayalam
magazine and the offers came
rapidly.

Amazed with the script, it did not
take me longer to nod in the affirmative,”
says this young girl.
Though she has been getting continuous
offers in Tamil, she prefers to work
in the language she is most comfortable
with, which is Malyalam, and having
worked with veterans like Mammooty
and Mohanlal, Samvrutha is more than
happy. Some of her current films in
Malyalam include Moonravutha Oru Aal
directed by V K Prakash. It is followed
by a movie featuring Suresh Gopi,
directed by Joshi and one by filmmaker
Padma Kumar with Prithviraj in the
lead. |
