A.R. Rahman is a happy man after the scintillating
impact of Rang De Basanti. His next project would
be a tour of the US with a music ensemble called
Global Rhythms. Srinivas Krishnan is the artistic
director of this ensemble and it includes musicians
who have been selected from all parts of USA.
With expectations running very high the group
is much determined to put a world class performance.
Their recent production has been a collection
of Rahman’s songs with their own influences
including African, Israeli and American folk styles.
The team has perfect understanding of Indian music,
especially that of Rahman’s creations. The
tour would start this summer. Way to go, man! |
