Tension
in Dasavatharam team before leaving for USA

Recently
the unit of Dasavatharam was to leave
for USA to complete a schedule there.
Just a day before boarding the flight,
director K S Ravikumar had called
up Vairamuthu and requested a song
to be penned which was to be shot
at the casinos there. He was anyway
sending the tune and tracks to him.
But
the need of the hour was the urgency as the crew
was leaving the country the next day. Understanding
the director’s problems Vairamuthu had assured
him that the song would be ready just in time
and asked him not to worry.
The lyricist did not just stop with his promise.
He had penned the song in just three hours and
sent it to the unit immediately. The sequence
is planned for Mallika Sherawat to gyrate in a
night club for his lyrics. American blacks and
the twin towers were the central theme of the
song. After reading the verse which was churned
out in such a short span, Ravikumar and Kamal
were naturally overwhelmed at this poet’s
caliber.
