Superstar is reportedly quite sure that the movie and the character are apt for Dhanush and that this project will surely pull Dhanush back up the ladder of stardom.

The talks of the movie are currently on. Choreographer Raju Sundaram will be directing the movie. The rest of the starcast is yet to be decided. Initially the name of Nayantara had been suggested for the role of heroine. But amid speculation that she would look more of an aunt than a heroine to Dhanush, her name was dropped. Now a few other names are being suggested.
