An elated Priyadarshan told the media persons that he is happy that his film Kancheevaram has bagged the best feature film and the best actor award for the year 2007. The director said that the victory proved that Tamilians can achieve anything as they cooperate to the maximum to achieve the desired results.

Priyadarshan, who is currently camping in Karaikudi to direct a Hindi film, said he expects the national award to be a turning point in his career and life. He also did not fail to mention that the film’s success was due to Prakash Raj’s acting skills.
