Vijay’s father and
noted filmmaker SA Chandrasekar disclosed
during the audio launch of his film Veluthu
Kattu in Trichy that he is planning to remake
his hit film Naan Sigappu Manidan with Vijay
playing the protagonist. The original film
was released in the year 1985, with Rajnikanth,
Bhagyaraj, Sathyaraj and Ambika in the star
cast.
SA Chandrasekar has said that he would change
the story to suit the audience of the present
times. He added that all his films are based
on the characters and not on the actors. An
official announcement of this project is expected
soon.
