Gautham Menon has said
that he and AR Rahman did not receive any
payment for the World Classical Tamil Conference
theme song. The song was penned by the Chief
Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi. The
5-minute song was filmed for over three months
as some of the scenes were shot from a helicopter.
Rahman took about three months to compose
the music for this theme song, he added. Almost
all top singers and musicians from Kollywood
are involved in this song.
The Tamil Nadu government is making arrangements
to have this song telecast in all the cinema
theatres.
