Director Samudrakani said that
he has won God with his film Nadodigal.
Wonder how? Well, the director told
the media that the film’s
heroine Abhinaya was born deaf and
dumb. However, he made her don the
greasepaint for the lead role and
also found a suitable voice to dub
for her.
Samudrakani said that he had approached
a heroine for the role but she opted
out of the film because the director
did not know English and she was
not fluent in Tamil. Samudrakani
said that he has broken the barriers
of communication by engaging an
actress who can neither speak nor
hear.
