AR Rahman: On political party using Jai Ho
May 13, 2009

Twin Oscar winner AR Rahman said that he does not favor any political party. The music composer, in an interview to the CNN channel’s Talk Asia show, revealed that: “I was like in the bed, I was dehydrated, exhausted, and then all these things happened, somebody told me these people are using it. I hate politics. I just want people to serve the people. I want governments, whichever government comes in, to be unbiased and say there should be justice in the country and that's my purpose in life.” This was his answer when the interviewer wanted the opinion on the Congress Party deciding to use the Jai Ho song for its campaign and later discarding it.

Talking about his Hollywood ventures, Rahman said that he is in talks with several Hollywood film producers for composing music in Hollywood films and will make an announcement soon.
