The
Third Univercell Vijay Awards started
off with the Rasigan Express Van
traveling across the state to collect
the votes of the fans for the five
categories -Favorite Hero, Favorite
Heroine, Favorite Film, Favorite
Director and Favorite Song.
Meanwhile, the jury for the Univercell
Vijay Awards will be introduced
to the audience on May 10, 2009
at 2 p.m. on Vijay TV. The Jury
Members are actor-director Prathap
Pothan, popular writer-director-producer
Yugi Sethu, film critic-cartoonist
Madan and Lizzy Priyadarshan.
The jury will discuss on what parameters
the films should be selected for
the awards. They will also discuss
about the 27 categories that are
taken into consideration for this
year’s award like best actor
/ actress, best debut actor male
/ female, best music director, best
playback singer – male / female,
best villain, etc. Vijay TV’s
Neeya Naana fame Gopinath will host
