organized the Rahamania to celebrate the musician’s
success at the Oscars and Grammy awards. All
the noted singers who had crooned for Rahman’s
music were present on stage to render some of
the smash hits scored by the music director.
Rahamania began with the popular Jai Ho, for
which Rahman won the Oscar award. Sukhwinder
Singh, who sang the original version, rendered
it on stage. Suresh Peters, Naresh Iyer, Sujatha,
Timothy, Swetha and others also sang some of
Rahman’s popular numbers. Students from
the John Britto Dance Academy enthralled the
audience with their dance. |
