The
audio launch of Guru Sishyan, the film featuring
Sathyaraj and Sundar C together for the first
time was held on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Prasad
Lab in Chennai. The film has been directed by
Shakthi Chidambaram and has music scored by
Dheena.
Along with Sathyaraj and Sundar C, the film
has two heroines, Shriti and Kiran who is
making a comeback into Tamil cinema after
quite a hiatus. At the function, two songs
from the film were screened for the guests
present. One of them featured Sundar C and
Shruti while the other ‘Vangonna Ada
Vangonna’ (remix of a yesteryear hit)
featured both Sundar C and Sathyaraj along
with Kiran. Both songs gave off the signature
Shakthi Chidambaram stamp with plenty of glamour
and oomph.
The film’s title might be reminiscent
of the yesteryear Rajinikanth blockbuster.
But, the director has said that the similarity
ends with the title, just like his previous
film Rajadhi Raja.

by Ramanarayanan and received by the film’s
crew members and others present. |
