The
Bollywood Filmfare Awards ceremony was held
on Saturday (February 27th, 2010). The Best
Actor award was lapped up by Amitabh Bachchan
for his role in Paa and the Best Actress Award
went to Vidya Balan for her performance in the
same film.
The Big B was not present at the ceremony to
receive his award, as his entire family is protesting
the remarks that was made against Aishwarya
Rai Bachchan by the tabloid, whose parent company
is the main sponsors of the event. Vidya Balan
took the award on behalf of Amitabh Bachchan.
Raj Kumar Hirani was adjudged the Best Director
for directing the film 3 Idiots. And 3 Idiots
also went on to win the Best Film of the Year
Award. AR Rahman won the award for scoring the
music for Delhi 6.
Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan hosted the
event.
