The palatial Annai Illam
in the Chevalier Sivaji Street, T Nagar, Chennai
is famous for more than one reason. Firstly,
it was where the legend of Tamil cinema Sivaji
Ganesan lived and it still continues to be
the abode for his family members. Secondly
the Lord Ganesha temple in front of the house
is also very popular and Sivaji Ganesan always
paid his obeisance to the deity whenever he
was in town and whenever he started a new
project. The tradition is being followed by
his descendants too and the temple had its
consecration this morning which was a grand
affair. This function was attended by Super
star Rajinikanth, Ajithkumar, Radhika along
with other family members of Sivaji household
and from the film fraternity.
