Karan Johar is producing the remake of Agneepath, which was directed by his father Yash Johar. Though an acclaimed director, Karan decided not to wield the megaphone for this venture because he feels that action movies are not his cup of tea. Karan has reportedly told in an interview that he prefers to direct romantic films. He has signed up Karan Malhotra to direct the remake.

It is worth mentioning here that Shah Rukh Khan issued an open invitation to Karan Johar on Twitter to direct a few scenes in Ra One as he happens to be his lucky mascot. Johar tweeted that he would do so but his action skills are highly questionable.
