Nayan-Trisha to compete in August

Nayanthara and Trisha are both awaiting their respective films to release on August 15th. While the former has done a glamorous-cum-comedy role in Sathyam, the latter will be seen in a homely and soft character in Abhiyum Naanum. But recent rumours in Kollywood indicating that Abhiyum Naanum has been stalled due to

financial reasons could play spoilsport in this much awaited competition. This film is being produced jointly by Moser Baer and Prakash Raj’s Duet Films. Incidentally, Prakash Raj plays a vital character in Abhiyum Naanum along with Trisha. Abhiyum Naanum is all about the relationship between a father and daughter. When director Radha Mohan was contacted, he refuted the rumours and insisted that just two songs need to be shot. While one song will be filmed during the first week of July, another song is scheduled sometime later. He also claimed that the film will hit the silver screens on August 15th. Well then, the stage is set for the competition.
