Case against Sathyaraj

Hogenakkal does not seem to leave folks from Tamil film industry in peace. Sometime back, Kollywood fraternity had come together to condemn the Karnataka government in the Hogenakkal water issue. During the protest fast, actor Sathyaraj had aired his feelings which have triggered a congress man K G Kumar from Bhuvanagiri file a

case against the actor. As per his complaint, Sathyaraj’s speech was on the lines of causing rift in the Indian society and is also against the religious feelings of many people. He further added that the speech was in discord with Tamil traditions and values. Hence Kumar wanted Sathyaraj to tender an apology to the people of Tamil Nadu.

Though Sathyaraj had received this notice, he has not replied to this till date. Hence K G Kumar had requested the court to ask police to take action against the actor. When this case came for hearing, the presiding judge had ordered police to record a complaint against Sathyaraj.
