In an explicit gesture to demonstrate
his interest in a political career,
Vijay stated that if fans willed,
his fan club would transform into
a political party. Vijay was addressing
a gathering in Pudukottai at an
event organized by his fan association,
Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. He also inaugurated
a computer training center and some
welfare schemes at the event.
He requested his fans to strengthen
the fan club membership to one lakh
in each district which will pave
way to the transformation of the
association into a political party.
“Only you can make it happen,”
he added. The event was attended
by his father S. A. Chandrasekhar
and other fan club members of the
area.
Application forms for the association
membership were also distributed.
