After winning the Oscar awards
for his music composition in Slumdog
Millionaire, the Tamil film fraternity
intended to arrange an event to
congratulate AR Rahman. However,
the musician failed to give dates
for the event and eventually the
plan had to be dropped, revealed
the Nadigar Sangam secretary, Radha
Ravi in the Mandapam music launch
function held recently.
The actor said that while Rahman
participated in the event held in
Kerala to celebrate his award win,
he did not offer dates for Kollywood
to celebrate it. Radha Ravi rued
that Rahman’s entry to filmdom
was through Kollywood but the musician
failed to recognize it.
