With his Yogi gearing up for release,
Ameer is all set for his next directorial
venture Kannabiran. Speaking to
a tabloid recently in an interview,
Ameer revealed that he has had prospective
meetings with Kamal, Rajini, Vikram
and Vijay for new projects. While
his project with Vikram is certain
now, the other meetings have been
at different levels, according to
Ameer.
Ameer said that he had a discussion
with Kamal for over four hours and
was awed by the star’s knowledge.
“However, I’m still
his student who is in awe with his
movies and haven’t grown to
the level of directing him,”
he stated.
Speaking of his discussion with
Rajini, Ameer said that the actor
has expressed his willingness to
be a part of his project. The director
said that working with a stalwart
like Rajini would require a powerful
script like Mani Ratnam’s
Thalapathy since both their working
styles are different.
Ameer also disclosed that he had
discussed a story with Vijay a few
months ago and the actor, whenever
they meet at public functions, enquires
if he still has the story for him.
