Baana Kathadi, the launch pad of
Atharva, son of actor Murali, hit
the floors in Chennai. The shooting
in Chennai has been wrapped up recently
and the crew intends to move on
to Gujarat and Thailand to film
the rest of the scenes and songs.
Samantha, who makes her debut with
Moscowin Kaveri, plays Atharva’s
pair in the film. Badri Venkatesh,
the winner of the national award
for his documentary Vidiyalai Nokki,
wields the megaphone for Baana Kathadi.
The international kite festival
that is held annually in Gujarat
will be filmed using 3000 artistes
and this is the highlight of the
film. Sources say that Baana Kathadi
is all about this international
kite festival and up and downs that
the youngsters face in the fest.
Baana is being produced by Thyagarajan
on behalf of his Sathya Jyothi Films.
