The
producers and distributors in Tamil
Nadu are contemplating a reduction
in the pay package of film stars,
particularly to the highly paid actors.
Speaking to the media, Kalaipuli Sekaran
said that the meeting would be held
after Pongal.
The producers and distributors are
also expected to discuss about
the
ways and means to reduce the production cost
and avoid unnecessary cost. The decision to
hold the meeting came in after some of the
big budget movies bombed at the box office.
It is worth mentioning here that several small
budget films like Subramaniapuram, Dindigul
Sarathy and Thenavettu went on to become big
hits. This only proves time and again that
a film, irrespective of the budget, needs
only a good storyline!
