The
Surya–Tamanna starrer Ayan is
progressing day in and day out for
an early 2009 release. Surya is reported
to have retained his Vaaranam Aayiram
six-pack for the movie. Director K
V Anand has revealed the source of
Ayan's story in an interview to a
tabloid recently.
According to him, Ayan is a collage
of
various real-life incidents that he happened
to read in the newspapers over a period of
time. "I have a huge load of such newspaper
cuttings in my study. I have been reading
and observing all the curious incidents reported
in the newspapers in the past two years,"
Anand was quoted as saying. Writer Subha assisted
him in building the story and screenplay based
on such incidents.
Ayan is based on the life of a youngster who
is fresh and out of college and his dilemma
in choosing among the million options life
lays in front of him. "Surya's involvement
in the movie is that of a stuntman who doesn't
omit the minutest of details," Anand
further said.
