Competition for Silambarasan brewing up

It is old news that Varalakshmi, daughter of Sarathkumar is making her screen debut along side Silambarasan in Podaa Podee. Major portion of the film will be shot in Canada as the story is reported to be happening there. Varu as she is fondly called by her family and friends holds a masters degree in Business Management from Edinburgh

University and is a trained ballet and salsa dancer. When she decided to join films, she immediately enrolled herself in Anupam Kher’s school of acting in Mumbai and has completed a course.

While assessing her performance in the acting school, Anupam Kher says, “We were all amazed by Varalakshmi’s sincerity and commitment to learn the nuances of acting. I always believe that acting cannot be taught and should come from within and I saw that spark in this girl. I am very sure she will go places in the industry.” One can be very sure that papa Sarath must be extremely proud of his daughter who has received such an inspiring comment from the one of the veterans of the industry. Silambarasan is sure to have some stiff competition from Varu in Podaa Podee.
