FEFSI Vijayan looses

The election to select the President of the Film Employees Federation of South India was conducted yesterday. The secretary, treasurer, and office bearers were also selected. FEFSI Vijayan, who was holding the president post for quite a long time, lost to V.C. Guhannathan. While Vijayan managed to get 10 votes, Guhannathan garnered 13 votes. G. Siva defeated Uma Shankar Babu to lap up the secretary post. Both Rajendran and Shanmugam, who contested for the treasurer post, had got 11 votes each resulting

in a tie. A decision in this issue is expected to be taken today.

Abu Gabriel, S.R. Chandran, V. Murali, M.A. Ramadurai and V.N. Swaminathan were selected as the vice-presidents. The new assistant secretaries are Gnanakumar, Hemanth Rao, Kathiravan, Kathi Vel and Moorthy.
