Rajnikanth
needs no introduction in Tamilnadu.
He is the superstar and a super
human being. People are aware
of his humane nature. But of
late there have been some sources,
in the media which are trying
to build a negative image around
the darling of the masses. But
as they say, truth will surely
triumph and it has.
In the recent past some popular
weeklies carried reports suggesting
that Rajini had distanced himself
from his fans and their welfare
activities. |

This
brief statement says a lot; for a
man who has managed to keep a state
full of fans intact for nearly 25
years or more. Some of us might even
have scoffed at the article in the
first place itself, but the propaganda
had begun. We are not sure if Rajini
was aware of this. But a recent incident
involving a fan and Rajini has made
mincemeat of this propaganda. |

A bi-weekly had recently come
out with a story and it is about
an ardent fan of Rajini called
Rajini Veeramani from Mayilaaduthurai.
This man has dedicated his life
to the superstar. His adulation
crossed all levels. He insisted
that his marriage should be
conducted only in the presence
of Superstar and waited a long
time. But at last he got married
in the presence of Sathyanarayana,
the right hand man of Rajini.
Though it was a bit late in
life, but it did happen. He
is a father now. But the story
is just beginning. |

Recently
Veeramani injured himself in an accident
while traveling on a two-wheeler.
He sustained multiple fractures on
his leg. He was admitted in a Government
hospital for a few days till his friends
from local fan clubs shifted him to
a private hospital. |

The
news took very little time to
reach Sathyanarayana, who hurried
to meet Veeramani. Veeramani
felt nothing short of elated.
But the big news was yet to
come; Sathyanarayana told him
that the Superstar (on a hectic
schedule with Sivaji’s
shooting) wanted to meet him.
This must have given Veeramani
fresh energy to combat all his
problems. How else can one explain
this? A man who was bedridden
many days prior to this traveled
all the way to Chennai with
just a stick to support him.

Even
when he came to Chennai he was not
sure whether he would meet the man
whom he had worshipped all his life.
But it did happen and right in Rajini’s
residence. The superstar came down
from the first floor to meet the waiting
Veeramani. |

|
Veeramani narrates the way in
which Rajini asked him about
his health and how he touched
the injured feet of Veeramani
and consoled him. Veeramani’s
voice breaks out with emotion
when he recalls the incident.
He is almost in tears when he
tells how Rajini was so considerate.
This has given Veeramani the
biggest satisfaction of his
life.
The great philanthropist that
he is, Rajini offered to take
care of all his medical expenses.
Needless to say Veeramani went
back home, feeling happier,
safer and a much bigger fan
of Rajini. |

This
news certainly has broken the back
of all those who sought to taint the
image of the Superstar. The truth
has surfaced, more emphatically than
ever before and no such propaganda
is ever going to sell in the state
again. What are going to sell like
hot cakes are the tickets for Sivaji.
He is the ultimate Boss. |
